Q. Is Friends part of the Parks Department?
No, County Park Friends is a 501C3 non-profit,
fully separate from County Parks Department.
We work in close partnership with our public partner
to increase impact towards aligned goals.

Q. What does my donation support?
Membership & Sponsorship = needs-based, 2020 County Parks Learn-To-Swim pilot.
Our 2020 pilot program targets low income families, with children ages 2.5-12, who are not yet water safe.
We offer 6-week Learm-To-Swim scholarships at Simpkins Family Swim Center.
We thank Cradle to Career, ParkRx, Simpkins Swim Center, Community Bridges and SCHealth Centers for helping inform our pilot.
