A new community skatepark is coming to Pinto Lake County Park.
A new skatepark is being constructed at Pinto Lake County Park through a public-private partnership between County Park Friends and the Richard Novak Foundation.  The project, initiated by NHS founder, Richard Novak, will provide a dedicated space for skateboarding and expand recreational opportunities for youth and families in the Pajaro Valley

Conceptual Design
The skatepark was designed and is being constructed by Grindline Skateparks, a nationally recognized design-build firm specializing in cast-in-place concrete skateparks.  The skatepark will accommodate a range of ages and skill levels with a variety of features that support learning, recreation, and progression. Pinto Lake County Park serves the Pajaro Valley and provides a central location for a new skatepark that is accessible to the surrounding community. The park has sufficient space to accommodate the skatepark while complementing existing recreational amenities.

Anticipated Opening
Construction began July 2026, and the skatepark is anticipated to open in late 2026.
