Live Like Coco delivers more than 5,000 new books to kids on their birthdays, provides scholarship funding for theatre, horseback riding and other activities, and launched a new field trip program that takes local kids to experience the forest. Kate has a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies from University of California Santa Cruz and a master’s degree from Columbia University School of Journalism. She has spent nearly two decades as a freelance writer, where she has written extensively about children's and young adult literature.
