Ways to Give: ⤵️
Friends is an independent 501c3 nonprofit, proudly partnering with land managers, raising private support so everyone can access safe, vibrant parks, trails, and nature programs.
IRA Charitable Rollover
(Qualified Charitable Distribution):
⤵️
If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to County Park Friends — up to $108,000 per year. This gift counts toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), is excluded from your taxable income, and goes to work for our mission right away. Please consult your financial advisor or IRA administrator to arrange a QCD transfer. If you have questions, we are here to help. Please contact Mariah Roberts at [email protected].
Our Mission is to preserve, protect, improve and promote the use of Santa Cruz County parks and open spaces for
recreational activities, arts and cultural activities to benefit all generations in our diverse community
