We partner with the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County to facilitate stock donations. Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds directly to County Park Friends is one of the most tax-efficient ways to give. You may avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation and receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value on the date of transfer — a double benefit compared to selling the asset and donating the proceeds.
